CLIENT: UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN

From text message to policy

A short explainer video for the My Voice project, animated frame by frame in Photoshop.

Explaining research with whimsy

Working with a University of Michigan researcher, this project became an informative but whimsical animated explainer that breaks down her work and makes the case for why it matters. Every stage was handled from start to finish: shaping the script together, sketching storyboards to align on the story before production, and hand-drawing each frame as cel animation in Photoshop.

From there came voiceover recording, sound effects, and editing everything together into the final export. Once complete, a dissemination strategy was planned and carried out so the video reached the audiences who needed to see it. The result turned complex research into something approachable, memorable, and genuinely fun to watch.
